Hi faves, I have come to report myself to you. I have not gone for any driving classes for over a month now. Anyways, I went today.
I went to the driving school today. And… I almost hit people!
I was scared out of my bones.
It was a case of being overtaken on two sides. A car was trying to overtake me on the left and an okada was overtaking me on the right.
Confusing, abi?
They didn’t even consider that I was a learner.
It did me like film trick. I was stepping on the brake while being tapped repeatedly by my instructor. My lap still hurts from the tapping by my instructor.
It was as if the brake didn’t work.
Funny how there was literally no space for the okada to overtake but the rider was pretty determined to squeeze himself and his two passengers through a non-existent hole.
I was scared out of my bones. I saw panic in my instructor’s eyes.
This is what boggles my mind;
Why aren’t motorists patient while driving?
Especially the okada riders?
The only way the accident was averted was to completely stop and let both overtakers have their way. Thankfully, there was minimal on-coming traffic.
Guys, your fave was legit scared today, if not traumatised by today’s experience. There’s one thing I’d like from you though.
Educate an okada rider you see on the road. Tenks.
Signing out,
Your fave,
Almost not a Wannabe Driver,
Bisola.
