FIVE TYPES OF BIKE RIDERS YOU WOULD LIKELY MEET ON THE STREETS
Since 2015 when we started operations in Nigeria, there has been an incredible increase in the number of our MAX Champions.
People from all walks of life and background have joined us and a cross-section of our MAX Champions shows diversity with a range of different personality types. People will be people.
Let’s run you through the different types of bike riders you would likely meet on the streets.
- The Calm ones: These ones do not have stress. They calmly pick you up from your bus stop and drop you at your desired destination. They mightn’t even say a word throughout the journey.
- The ones with the gist: These riders are great conversationalists. They bring you up to speed on everything that has happened in the area. You can count on their information — it is usually sprinkled with a bit of exaggeration and animated expressions sha. Rides are typically fun with them and you might find yourself alighting at your destination with a grin on your face.
- The really nice ones: These bike riders are very polite. The first sentence you hear from them is “Good afternoon, Bros”. They don’t speak much like their colleagues — the ones with the gist but would make sure to ask how your day went. You would likely find yourself leaving your balance with them or tipping them. Our champions are in this category. We train them well. *wink
- The ones that hassle you for change: Oga, I no get change o is their favourite song. This might be frustrating but these riders are very business focused and are risk-averse. They like to be in control and prevent unpleasant situations. Give them a fist bump the next time you encounter them.
- The ones with Google maps in their brains: These riders know all the shortcuts around town. Most times, they have you thinking you are being kidnapped but get you to your destination in record time. Don’t we love them?
