Picture this:
Mother Earth glistens. Her children, the trees, sway as the bright sun bounces off the vibrant green colour of their leaves, and her dear little children, animals, move around bouncing, well-fed.
Humans are moving; hustling and bustling. The air is nice, crisp, and clean.
Mother Earth is happy.

When MAX started in 2015, an important part of the vision was to help fight the battle of climate change, whilst still pioneering innovative technologies to improve the quality of life of Africans — electric mobility was the answer to that. It provided the opportunity to create better lives through innovation.
Let’s backtrack a bit. During the oil boom and the industrial revolution, fuel-powered vehicles were the go-to alternative for transportation and machinery for industries. While those technologies drove industrialization, they also caused severe damage to the ecosystem. As transportation is a major contributing factor to global pollution, electric mobility is an important aspect to latch on in the battle against climate change.
This realization that the earth as we know it was rapidly becoming inhabitable necessitated the need for e-mobility. Currently, there is a steady rise in the adoption of electric mobility globally and this has increased six-fold since 2015, according to reports. It is estimated that the use of electric vehicles in Africa will increase by 30% by 2035.
In the years since electric vehicles have undergone numerous major technological advancements that have reduced their cost while simultaneously increasing their efficiency. Newer models can typically cover between 200 and 400 kilometres on a single charge, and a few are able to go much further.
According to Deloitte, to achieve a benchmark of 80% decrease in greenhouse gas emissions by 2050; over 300,000 electric vehicles must be in use globally.
In this light of fighting climate change, MAX is at the forefront of pioneering electric mobility in Africa- advancing the adoption of electric vehicles to save Mother Earth and putting smiles on the faces of her children. To drive this adoption, MAX has developed new-age, technologically advanced EVs specifically designed for the ecosystem and deploying innovative technologies across Africa.
