Directly access the Spiro CTF event registration page on CTFRoom.
Step 2: Register on CTFRoom
On the event page, create your account by filling in the registration details.
If you’re already registered, simply log in.
Step 3: Register Your Team
After logging in, confirm your participation by registering your team for the Spiro CTF event.
Step 4: Confirmation Email
Once successfully registered, a confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address.
Check your inbox and verify the details.
Step 5: Await the Event Launch
Mark your calendar for 24th January 9:00 AM (Nigeria time) or 1:30 PM (IST).

Event Format
Capture the Flag (CTF) events are engaging and competitive platforms for students, particularly in the field of cybersecurity.
Challenge participants to solve various security-related tasks
Gain hands-on experience that is essential in the modern digital landscape
Empower students with practical knowledge and skills, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
Tests participants on various skills such as
Penetration testing
Cryptography
Forensics
Programming
Participants solve challenges, categorized into different difficulty levels
Promotes learning and encourages teamwork
Practical Challenge:
Participants will need to analyze the provided VM to uncover and exploit vulnerabilities, simulating real-world cybersecurity scenarios.
Problem-Solving Focus:
The event emphasizes critical thinking, technical skills, and creativity in identifying and resolving security issues.
Objective:
The goal is to find hidden “flags” within the VM environment by solving technical challenges like:
Identifying misconfigurations.
Exploiting software vulnerabilities.
Decoding hidden messages.
Interactive Experience:
This format is more interactive and immersive than a multiple-choice quiz, encouraging participants to engage deeply with cybersecurity concepts.
Skill Development:
Participants will sharpen their skills in vulnerability analysis, ethical hacking, and secure system design.
Event Timing and Duration
The event will be live for 12 hours:
West Africa (WAT): 24th January 9:00 AM — 9:00 PM
India (IST): 24th January 1:30 PM — 25th January 1:30 AM
Open simultaneously for participants across West Africa and India.
