Nyungwe Forest National Park
Nyungwe Forest National Park, one of Africa’s most significant forest conservation sites, offers a stunning array of biodiversity, including 1,068 plant species, 322 bird species, and 75 types of animals. The majority of visitors come to this rainforest to monitor chimps that park rangers have acclimated to people.
Experience East Africa’s unique canopy walkway.
Hiking in Nyungwe Forest National Park is a great experience. But strolling on a suspension bridge 200 feet above the park’s old treetops can also give you a thrill. The canopy walkway may be reached in 60–90 minutes by foot from the Uwinka Visitor Center.
Lake Kivu
Lake Kivu, one of the finest lakes in eastern Africa, lies between Congo (Kinshasa) in the west and Rwanda in the east. It covers an area of 1,040 square miles (2,700 square kilometres), is 55 miles (90 kilometres) long (north-south), and is 30 miles wide (east-west). Due to the beautiful coasts, resorts and islands of the lake. Visitors like to explore the lake. Gorilla trekking is one of Africa’s greatest experiences. And the Volcanoes National Park is arguably Rwanda’s premier wildlife conservation destination. Thousands of international visitors visit the park each year to appreciate mountain gorillas and other popular activities.
Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park begins with a briefing from the park headquarters. Then you will be taken out on the trek by an armed guide while tracking one of the gorilla groups.
Gisakura Tea Estate (Discover how to pluck tea leaves)
Another equally exhilarating but comparatively low-key activity you could do is tea leaf plucking. A cup of tea may be very well comforting after a day of hiking or other activities. Fortunately, tea estates surround the park, providing picturesque scenery and the opportunity to master the technique of producing the caffeine-laced leaves. Gisakura Tea Estate encourages visitors to spend a few hours in the life of a tea leaf picker.
Experiencing new places may be both exhilarating and soothing for individuals. What better way to get a taste of one of Africa’s most gorgeous cities than to visit one, two, or three of these locations? While in Rwanda, a MAX ride can take you to your destination securely and on time.
