My name is Aliu. I am 24 years old. I come from Kafanchan, Katsina. My village is very far from where I am currently. I ran away from my village in 2018 after bandits killed my father, and started terrorising the community.
Here’s my story; you can catch up on Part 1 here
Now let’s get into today’s story
The next day, Quadri and I went to the office of the yellow paper people. All their office is yellow. Their name is MAX. We told them that we want to start riding okada. The ogas there didn’t stress us. They asked us for our names, address and phone number and told us that we will have a training program before we get our okadas.
Since I don’t have a lot to do. I told them I wanted to start learning the next day — sharp sharp. The woman oga said they would have to check out my house and phone number to make sure they are correct. They said they’ll visit me within two days. We left the yellow office happy.
When we got to our shed, Quadri and I told Waheed, our big brother in our shed that we want to start riding okada and we will soon collect our okadas. Waheed was very happy. He said that it will help us to make good money and take care of our families at home.
I asked Waheed to teach me how to ride a bicycle pending when the yellow people come to check our house and phone number. I have been learning how to ride a bicycle.
I no fit tell my mama sey I wan ride okada. I go wait for like 2 months after I start. Make my mama chest no dey fear.
Woman Oga of the Yellow Paper People, come fast oo. I wan ride my own okada.
